b) To help the social and personal development of a young person
c) Help to build an Irish-language community
What does Feachtas do?
Youth Clubs:
We at Feachtas organise Club Óige; a youth club through the medium of Irish for young people. It is our aim to provide a safe space for young Irish speakers to mix, while empowering them through teaching them leadership skills. We offer various workshops and are active in the Irish-language world. We offer assistance to establish new youth clubs. We are always looking for new members and leaders!
Summer Camps:
Feachtas run Summer Camps through Irish in July, where young Irish speakers can have the craic, learn new skills and go on tours.
Events and Tours:
Feachtas organises events and tours for young people who speak Irish. We go to activity centres and Scléip na hÓige. We run social events like battle of the bands and parties for our members.
Quiz Competition:
We organise a national quiz competition every year. We always have great prizes for the winners and and all competitors have great craic!
